Arts of the Woodland Indians
Now through January 3
Dennos Museum Center Map
Running alongside the exhibition of pre-Columbian gold artifacts from Central Panama (River of Gold) is an exhibition of native art from somewhat farther north. . . .
This exhibition draws from the museum's collection of art by the
Woodland Indians. Not only does this exhibition include excellent
examples of quillwork and sweetgrass basketry from both Michigan and
Ottawa artists, but also prints by artists of the famed woodland or
Anishinabe style of painting, such as Norval Morrisseau and Roy Thomas.
